“This is a far superior product! We have used other products before, but ProClean made my co-workers and my life easier. No other products compare to ProClean. It made the water spots disappear with little effort and minimal cleanup. ProClean covered more windows per bottle and worked better, making the windows that needed to be replaced look like new again! We will use it again and would recommend it to anyone with hard water spots.”Peter Shanks, White Oak Construction

A Water spot can be referred to as many different things; water spot, water corrosion, calcium build-up, water stain, mineral deposit, and more. Typically a water spot forms when droplets of water sit or lay on a glass surface and as the water begins to evaporate all the minerals in the water are left behind. Water spots are essentially stains on the glass. If it’s caught relatively soon, these minerals could just basically be wiped away with any window washing process out there.
When left for prolonged periods of time though, particularly with sprinklers or areas that have severe water or lots of minerals. These minerals begin to accumulate and they start to bake onto the surface or in some cases they even start to edge into the surface of the glass itself. Interacting with the chemical structure of the glass and almost becoming a part of the glass.
In those type of situations, you can expect more labor involved and a little more time, but in most cases, even severe water spots can be removed using the ProClean product.
Now if you’re looking at the ProClean water spot removal product, you may be wondering; well I’ve tried everything else in the market, what makes this different? Will it work?
It will work, and it’s different than the other products out there. Most of the products on the market for water spot removal are either abrasives that are merely trying to work the minerals off or harsh acids which are trying to kind of melt the minerals off. ProClean is somewhere in the middle of the two. It uses an on an acid formula to eat away at the minerals and a small amount of micro-abrasive to help work the minerals off the surface of the glass, all without damaging the glass. So that’s the main reason why you may find that it will work much better than some of the other products you have tried.
Also,to ensure the product works well for your type of glass, make sure to use the appropriate disc. By using either the white abrasive discs that we include with the bottle or using even in some cases 0000 steel wool is another good option to give yourself a little bit more of an aggressive action, you ensure that you have the best setup to remove deep water spots.
ProClean will work on any type of glass, so anywhere on your vehicle especially on the sidelights and backlight.
The sidelights and backlight are typically where you get an accumulation of water spots over time. They can be especially visible due to the window tinting, so we’ll indeed work on that type of surface. Which is why we recommend the use of the white brillo pad that we include with the bottle or a 0000 steel wool. Something that won’t scratch the glass surface while you’re trying to work those water spots free.
However it also works on other surfaces that are not commonly known, it works great on the paint or the body of even a vehicle. Now you would use that with a different material, other than our polishing pad. We recommend a microfiber cloth to be used to remove water spots on the paint and of course cleaning the car before you do so.
When working on the metal or plastic surfaces of a vehicle, we recommend using a foam type pad to remove those water spots.
ProClean was specially formulated to work on glass, but it really will work great on other surfaces as well.
